Enna Hirata is an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Maritime Sciences, the Center for Mathematical and Data Sciences, Kobe University. Enna received her PhD degree in Business Administration in 2016. Her research interests include Transport Economics, Maritime Digitization, Maritime Decarbonization, Data-driven Prediction and Decision Making.

Previously, Enna worked in various capacities in A. P. Moller-Maersk Group. Before moving from industry to academia in 2019, Enna was responsible for Asia Pacific market in TradeLens, a blockchain underpinned supply chain platform jointly developed by Maersk and IBM. Enna is an evangelist, researcher, educator and practitioner of blockchain and AI application in shipping and logistics, an expert of supply chain digitization and digitalization.
